Solon Township is accepting applications to fill the position of Solon Township Treasurer.  Applicant must be a resident of Solon Township.  Information and applications may be obtained at the Solon Township offices at 15185 Algoma Avenue NE, Cedar Springs, MI 49319, 616-696-1718.


Public Notice
The Solon Township Board will hold a special meeting on
Monday, April 28, 2014 @ 1:30 p.m.
at the Solon Township Hall
15185 Algoma Avenue, Cedar Springs, Michigan

The purpose of the meeting is to:

  • Consider applications received for Township Treasurer position
  • Authorize funds for upgrade of computer to Windows 7 to allow conversion to QVF LITE as required by State of MI Bureau of Elections – Approx $400
  • Discuss lawn treatments for cemetery

Annual Spring Cleanup for Solon Township residents only
has been scheduled for
Saturday, May 3rd and Saturday, May 10th, 2014
9:00 am to 4:00 pm

One 5 x 8 trailer with 48” sides or one pick-up box is allowed per household. 
All items  must be in bags or boxes not to exceed 45 lbs. 
Acceptable items include:  lumber less than 4 feet long and bundled to
weigh no more  than 45 lbs., a limit of 4 car or passenger truck tires per household, which must be cut into 4 pieces, washers, dryers, stoves, dishwashers.
Unacceptable items include:  batteries, hazardous waste such as oil, paint, anti-freeze, cleaning supplies or other liquid determined to be hazardous, yard waste, concrete, stones, roofing scrap, metal barrels (unless both ends are cut out), fiberglass boats, large plastic objects, toys or barrels, railroad ties.  No shovel offs.

Solon Township reserves the right to inspect and accept or refuse all loads.
